Equality is the mission. Communication is the tool.
As a child, I wanted to be a lawyer to stand for those who suffer. Inequalities always annoyed me. Why should we deserve less only because of our color, gender or economic level? As I grew up, I decided to be a journalist. I found that I could use my communication skills to empower those who are voiceless.
Not afraid of asking questions, looking for the best stories.
I think I have been a journalist since ever. I remember interviewing everyone in the family as a child and taking every opportunity to write in the school journals. I started doing it professionally in 2014 at Observador, the first digital-only newspaper in Portugal. There I ran 2 video shows about charities, social development and gender issues. In 2016 I was invited to join RTP team, Portugal’s public broadcaster, where I am currently part of the TV and digital teams. My main goal, throughout everything I do, is to create empathy by putting readers, listeners and viewers in someone else’s shoes.

Sharing knowledge and providing good practices
Unconscious bias, micro-aggressions and communication barriers are a reality in our workplace relationships. They can have a big impact on our professional lives. To develop a D&I strategy focused on inclusive communication, avoiding stereotypes, gender equality and LGBT+ good practices is decisive to be competitive in today’s world. I’ve been helping companies to be aware of these values by delivering workshops/sessions tailor-made to their needs.
